The imagination

Here are some of the inspired drawings of the botanical illustrator, naturalist, philosopher, Ernst Haeckel, who coined the phrase, “ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny.”  He studied the forms in nature and drew them with amazing accuracy.  I saw the original drawings in Heidelberg, Germany and they inspired me to appreciate the beauty of forms in nature.
